FIT FOR FUN TV tested five egg boilers from 10 to almost 40. Which one was the simplest to operate? Which egg boiler was quickest and which gave the best results? We tested in a 5- star hotel, at home with a young amateur cook, and in a breakfast restaurant in Cologne where boiled eggs are popular. Summary The overall winner in our test was the microwave egg boiler by Westfalia. Unlike other equipment, it was very easy and uncomplicated to use. No laborious reading of the operating instructions was required. In addition, the best result was achieved using this equipment. The eggs had the desired hardness. The egg- shaped device for microwave use cooked the eggs the quickest. Unlike standard equipment, the egg was hard in just 12 minutes compared to 17 minutes. The microwave boiler was thus an economical and reliable alternative to the other items of equipment and was thus the winner of the FIT FOR FUN TV test.
